Computing
The intent for Computing at Devonshire Junior is to provide pupils with a robust, engaging curriculum structured to build confidence in using technology, learn to program and leave our school digitally literate.
Within each year group, pupils will have access to a range of resources to develop their knowledge of different platforms of technology. All teachers have access to Purple Mash, which provides a comprehensive approach to planning and teaching. There is planning and vocabulary for each section of Computing to help with the delivery of lessons. The curriculum has been structured to incorporate the computing procedural knowledge document created by our academy trust. Each year group leader has addressed their year group’s skill ladders, alongside their colleagues, to ensure that each challenge pack has implemented the Computing skills needed across the year.
