The workshops are a fun and enjoyable way for parents to find out exactly what and how their child is learning in class, and how to help them at home - we know that when adults help at home with learning, children do even better at school. Resources are available for parents to take home and use to support their child. The workshops are very informal and parents don’t need any particular skills as the activities are set out and explained by the class teacher.
At the end of each session our parents complete a short evaluation of the session to let us know if they found it helpful. Responses so far have been overwhelmingly positive with many parents requesting more sessions.
We would also like to thank our parents for the great response to the sessions – the last sessions were attended by a fantastic 95% of parents! We particularly appreciate where parents have rearranged childcare or work days to be with us.
